A club with history: From 1973 to today
The Club Tennis Calonge was born in 1973 through the initiative of a group of friends with a clear social and sporting vocation. What began as a project shared by tennis lovers has become, over the decades, the most family-oriented club in Baix Empordà.
Throughout our history, we have grown alongside sport in the Costa Brava, marking key milestones that define our identity:
- Foundation (1973): Creation of the first courts and the beginning of a community united by the racket.
- Tournament era: The club is established as a venue for historical competitions such as the Quer-Petit tournament.
- Competitive benchmark: Launch of the Open Vila de Calonge, bringing together great tennis figures at our facilities.
- Current growth: Constant evolution to integrate padel and pickleball, adapting to new trends without losing our original essence.
Facilities and services
At Club Tennis Calonge, we have a privileged environment with a green area and easy parking to enjoy outdoor sports. Our facilities are designed to offer the best experience for both members and visitors:
Tennis
We have 6 clay courts and 1 hard court for all playing preferences.
Padel
We have 5 state-of-the-art padel courts in a social and active environment.
Pickleball
We have incorporated 4 pickleball courts, the fastest-growing sport today.
School and Classes
Training for all ages, from beginner levels to competition and personalized private lessons.
Amenities and Parking
Facilities equipped with changing rooms, showers, and free private parking
Bar and Social Area
The ideal meeting point to relax after the match, enjoy our terrace, and experience club life.
